Alright, this might not luck like much, but it has taken me a while! I finally managed to create a tileset for the original Neverwinter Nights up to the point of actually being able to use it ingame. If I had any use for a dark barren one-tile tileset. Still, this brief flirting with 3ds Max and the amazing tools the community created to streamline the asset production has made me realize the whole thing is not as hard as I thought, although it certainly is somewhat confusing in some aspects.
Still, I’m very proud of my badlands modeling skills; I’d totally hate to live in a place like the one in the screenshot.

Looks nice! Stop by the NWN 1 custom content forum on the Bioware social site if you have any questions.
Oh, OldTimeRadio in my blog! I can't believe it!
I did read the Bioware social forums before I began; in fact, if I'm not mistaken, it was you who pointed out that Autodesk had these student licenses (I've always used Blender before, but the tools designed for NWN don't seem as advanced and abundant as the plugins for 3ds and Gmax).
Anyhow, I was just trying to learn how NWMax and Veltools work, and now that I've grasped the concept a bit, I might be able to do something that is actually useful.
Anyway, thanks for commenting!
