I haven't been much into game consoles for a while (my last non-portable machine was a PS2, although I had lots of consoles before), and if I had to choose one now, it wouldn't be the Wii, that's for sure. Still, I can recognize something good when I see it. I don't know if the new Resident Evil game for the Wii will be the case, but I can tell you for sure that their new trailer will, at least, give lots to talk about.

The Wii has been and will continue to be a console for casual people, families and or fans of arcade shooters. Nontheless the marketing guys over at capcom know how to make something as boring as a railshooter look very appealing and its nothing to do with the gameplay footage they show.
However, I think a real person (someone with a face) can look past the nice flash tricks and see a real glimpse of whats on offer. However, I wont say that all wii railshooters are terrible games - Deadspace extraction offered a very unique and interesting story and gameplay mechanics to the tired old genre.
Well, we're talking about Resident Evil here. The series have enough people willing to play this game just for the story and background, I guess. Even if it's a railshooter.
